CBD Oil Benefits
We’re getting lots, and lots of media coverage about CBD oil. It’s exploding. It’s everywhere. It’s all in the news. There’s a lot of people asking the question, “What exactly is CBD oil? What can it do with it, in terms of health benefits and as a food supplement? And what to look for when you buy CDB oil?” So I’m going to cover it really, really quickly.

CBD Oil – The Hemp Plant
CBD oil is extracted from the hemp plant. The hemp plant is the English term for the cannabis plant, which is the Latin. That sometimes raises little red flags in people’s minds thinking, “Am I doing something illegal?”. CBD oil is totally legal.

CBD oil is from industrial hemp. Industrial hemp is grown specifically for, not just CBD oil, but also for cloth, for the linen. Humans have been using the hemp plant, which is one of the most versatile plants in the world, for 10,000 years.

It contains CBD which is one of 100 cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. It doesn’t contain TCH, which recreational marijuana does. THC is the element of a hemp plant which will make you high.

CBD Oil – The Health Benefits
CDB oil is a natural anti-inflammatory, which is a root cause for a lot of the illness within the human body. In particular, it’s very good at pain relief. It’s very good at chronic pain, which is pain which has been on-going for 12 weeks or more.

We hear from a lot of people whose life has literally changed due to the pain relief qualities of CBD oil

How to buy CBD oil

Is the hemp grown in a regulated farm?
What to look for when you’re purchasing CBD oil? Personally, I look for where has that hemp been grown? Where does it come from? Cannabis is notoriously good at absorbing nutrients in the soil. You want to make sure there’s no contaminants. You want to make sure there’s no genetic modified farming going on. I tend to look for EU grown hemp, because it’s heavily regulated. Also, I look for how pure is that CBD oil.

What colour is the oil?
As a rule of thumb, the darker the CBD oil, the less pure it is. Manufacturing companies, will put CBD oil into dark bottles so you can’t see the colour of it.

The clearer liquid, the more impurities have been removed; some of the waxes, the chlorophylls, all that kind of stuff. And it also tastes much better, as well. If it’s very dark, it can be very bitter. It can be a little bit unpalatable.

Has the oil been independently tested?
Also, a very important point is to make sure that it’s independently tested. Some companies won’t test the CBD oil, at all. Some companies will test it once every two years, but it’s very important that you get every single batch tested. Because a crop yield will contain naturally different levels of CBD oil, so you want to make sure that you’re getting the exact amount of CBD oil that is marketed on the packaging itself. It’s very important to know how much you’re taking. You can’t overdose on CBD oil, but it’s just for personal preference.

What to look for when buying CBD oil
Look for where’s the hemp grown, how pure is it, what is the quality of it, and is it tested. If you go with those three things, you won’t be far wrong.

Welcome to the world of CBD oil. I hope you find your experience very pleasurable.
